Chips Ahoy Gooey

I was at the SM department store trying to get to their supermarket and, as I pass right at the Snacks section, saw these new Chips Ahoy variant!

The packaging is catchy as it was CHIPS AHOY and GOOEY written in big fonts. If that doesn't tickle your sweet tooth, then I don't know what does.

Plus, it's CHIPS AHOY! Hello?! Chips Ahoy is a childhood favorite cookie.

At least for me! Ha!

So, I immediately took one and went straight to the cashier. The girl behind me at the queue was also holding one. I was actually excited to try this new stuff from Chips Ahoy and take a bite right then and there.

So high expectations though as it tasted like the original cookie with more chocolate ... I dunno, I guess I expected more from it. Definitely better than the original  one with blue packaging. But I still find the Chunky Chips Ahoy (the all chocolate and/or white and black chocolate) wayyy better!

Pros: More chocolatey goodness than regular chips ahoy.
Cons: Not as gooey as the text/ font on the packaging suggested. I'd still recommend the Chunky Chocolate Chips Ahoy cookie.

Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn

Do you love popcorn? Oh god, of course you do! What kind of question is this?!

If you love movies, you must love popcorn.

So this Smartfood Popcorn is actually from way back, from PX Goods Stores in Subic! But it slowly went to the local  grocery stores like S&R, Rustan's and recently purchased it at Landmark.

Compared to it's peers like Chef Tony's and Chicago, Smartfood White Cheddar tastes like the regular popcorn you eat at the movies. It's not too salty nor too cheesy. Just the right amount of flavoring.

Pros: It tastes like Taters white cheddar! - my favorite movie companion. Like the real thing! Better than the regular popcorn, actually. Since those at the movies can either be too salty or bland.

Cons: Can't get enough of that white cheddar cheese.
